Czech Design in Belgrade: Czech Industrial Design Opens Doors to New Business Opportunities in Serbia
Serbia is currently experiencing dynamic growth across construction, architecture and interior design – and with it comes a rising demand for high-quality products and strong design. As part of the Belgrade International Architecture Week (BINA), we supported Czech companies in presenting their work exactly where new opportunities are emerging.
A business networking event held at the Czech Centre Belgrade brought together Czech manufacturers with local developers, architects and designers who are actively shaping the face of contemporary Serbian cities. The meeting created space for meaningful dialogue, new connections and potential collaborations – the kind that turn into real projects.
Representatives of Alca Group, LASVIT, M&T 1997, RAVAK and TON, alongside the development company SEBRE Serbia, introduced their brands in person. Their presence confirmed that Czech industrial design already enjoys a strong reputation in Serbia – and, more importantly, that it has significant potential for further growth.
The event also featured the opening of an exhibition presenting the work of member companies of the Association of Czech Industrial Design. The exhibition remains on view at the Czech Centre for the coming weeks, offering continued visibility for Czech brands and their products.

Why Serbia?
Serbia represents a market that is not only growing, but also increasingly receptive to quality, innovation and international collaboration.
- A rapidly expanding construction sector is driving demand for new residential, commercial and public projects. With ongoing urban development in cities like Belgrade, there is a clear need for well-designed products that can meet both functional and aesthetic expectations.
- Rising interest in high-quality interior design reflects a broader shift in how spaces are conceived – from purely functional to experience-driven. This creates opportunities for brands that combine craftsmanship, innovation and strong design thinking.
- A strategic location in Southeast Europe, combined with openness to European companies, makes Serbia an attractive gateway to the wider regional market. For Czech manufacturers, it offers both accessibility and growth potential.
- Hosting EXPO 2027 in Belgrade will further accelerate investment, international attention and development activity. For the design and architecture sectors, this represents a unique opportunity to be part of projects that will shape the country’s future identity.
For Czech industrial design, Serbia is not just another export destination. It is a market where the values we stand for – quality, collaboration and design-driven innovation – resonate strongly and can translate into long-term partnerships.
